How to play

  1. Lay every tile so the courtyard is covered exactly, with no gaps and no overlaps, right to the edges.
  2. All the tiles in your tray must be placed. Rotate and flip them to fit the pattern.
  3. The pale chalk tiles are already drawn on the floor and locked. Build your rangoli around them.
  4. Exactly one arrangement completes the floor.
  5. Solve it fast and without hints for 3 stars.

Maths skills it builds

  • Spatial reasoning
  • Area and tiling
  • Rotation and reflection
  • Logical deduction

Why it works

Fitting shapes together to cover a region exactly is a hands-on way to understand area and tessellation. The four bands, Kali, Phool, Mor and Utsav, grow from 4×5 boards up to 6×8, so the puzzle gets richer without changing the idea.
