Kolam Trace: one thread through every dot
Kolam Trace is a single-stroke drawing puzzle themed as South Indian kolam art. The player drags one unbroken thread through every dot (pulli) of the grid exactly once, without touching the skipped dots or crossing the line over itself.

How to play
- Drag from the saffron ring through every dot exactly once. A diya (skip-dot) must never be touched.
- Move to any of the 8 dots around you, straight or diagonal.
- Threads never cross: two diagonal strokes through the same little square are not allowed.
- Open kolams end at the leaf-green ring. If the start and end ring are the same dot, close the loop by dragging back onto it.
- If you are stuck, use a hint to highlight the next dot. Using fewer hints earns more stars.
Maths skills it builds
- Path planning
- Logical reasoning
- Graph-style thinking
- Spatial awareness
Why it works
Finding a path through every point once is a classic idea from graph theory, introduced here as a drawing game. Grids grow from 4×4 with a clear route to 7×7 with closed loops, so children build up from obvious paths to ones that demand real foresight.
