Memory Dash: train your working memory with maths
In Memory Dash the question appears briefly and then disappears, so children must hold the numbers in their head to answer. It trains working memory alongside arithmetic and number patterns, in short rounds that are easy to fit into a day.

How to play
- Choose one of five challenges: Flash Sum, Chain Recall, Number Grid, Sequence Gap or Equation Echo.
- Memorise what flashes on the screen. It disappears after a moment.
- Answer from memory, either by picking the right option or by recalling where something was.
- Correct, wrong and too-slow answers all show straight away, so you learn as you go.
- At the end you get an accuracy score and a rating, from Keep Training up to Exceptional.
Maths skills it builds
- Working memory
- Mental addition
- Running totals and operations
- Spatial memory
- Number patterns and sequences
- Concentration
Why it works
Working memory is the mental notepad children use for long division, multi-step problems and word problems, and it is very often what slows them down. Memory Dash exercises that notepad directly, in context with real arithmetic. Each challenge trains a different angle: remembering totals, tracking a chain of operations, holding a grid of numbers or spotting the rule in a sequence.

Questions parents ask
What are the five Memory Dash challenges?
Flash Sum (two numbers flash, recall their total), Chain Recall (follow an equation built step by step), Number Grid (remember where a number was in a 3×3 grid), Sequence Gap (find the missing number in a pattern) and Equation Echo (recall an equation that flashed, then answer a question about it).
Why train memory with maths?
Holding numbers in mind while working with them is the core of mental arithmetic. Practising it in a game makes it feel less like a test.
Can guests play?
Yes. Guests can try the first challenges, and signing up unlocks the rest and saves progress.
Is there a time limit?
Each question has to be answered promptly. A too-slow answer is counted and explained, with no harsh penalty, and the next round starts right away.
